Zedd, Skrillex, Barron, Young Dreams, Mike Posner, Evil Nine, Ben Mono

Scorpion Move
Not digging a lot of le big clusterfuck of dubstep at the moment. There seems to be a thin top layer of producers who actually create a sound, and then there’s everyone else copying it. But this week saw the release of a pretty nice track though. Zedd put up a free tune called ‘Scorpion Move’. It’s there to announce Zedd’s ‘Stars Come Out’ EP, dropping on the 20th of November.

Voltage (Barron Bootleg)
Squeaking of which, here’s a new Skrillex. The track is called ‘Voltage’ and was premiered earlier on Vacay Wave in lower quality (Set-rip). One week ago a Baltimore Dj called Barron uploaded his bootleg remix of Voltage. It sounds pretty much the same as the Vacay Wave version, but it’s in higher quality. Somehow Barron found a way to recreate most of the basslines. Or it’s just a HQ Set-rip.

Young Dreams
Young Dreams is a Norwegian band who recently signed to the Modular People label. They play ‘Tropical Pop-Symphonies’, and to understand that concept I suggest you better listen to their track below, also titled ‘Young Dreams’. Oy yeah tiny warning upfront, booking this band is like booking a small army. We’re talking about a twelve-headed band here.

Hey Lady
Mike Posner is posting more free tracks a promo for this new mixtape ‘The Layover’. It will (also) be out on the 20th of November. One of the tracks on it is called ‘Hey Lady’ and also features Twista.

Little Prince (Ben Mono´s Berlin Edit)
This is not something I’d usually post here. Far more likely, it would be features in one of the coming mixtapes. And it will be, but I’d like you to hear this right now. On big speakers if you will. It’s Ben Mono’s edit on ‘Evil Nine – Little Prince’. Good example of an original sound, as it has some elements of house, garage and dubstep but yet it’s none of those. Most credits would have to go to Evil Nine though, as Ben Mono just “Subtleized the breakdowns a bit to move the track a bit off the mainfloor towards a more hipsteresque crowd”. I honestly never knew hipsters didn’t like breakdowns. Really nice edit though.
