Labrose is sharing their debut EP ‘Thinking Out Loud’ this month. It includes a brilliant track titled ‘No Color’, which might very well be the highlight of their debut EP.
Labrose is producer Ficci (Alisdair Mason) and vocalist Victor Perry, a duo from Birmingham and New York City. As producer, UK based FICCI has been featured on BBC Radio1, 1XTRA and Triple J with his solo project as well as production works for other artists such as BATTS and Laura Hahn. Vocalist Victor Perry’s most known work includes collaborations with Levi, ASh & Tray and Saxity.
Together, Mason and Perry write alternative pop and r&B songs, inspired by London Grammar, RY X, Mikky Ekko and The XX. Their debut EP ‘Thinking Out Loud’ came out on December 8th on PM Recordings, with four tracks and including ‘No Color’. The track features perfectly performed lyrics by Perry over a slow instrumental track that just keeps introducing really interesting new layers throughout. One of the better deep tracks this month, enjoy below:
