Mattanoll, Gigamesh, Sohight, Cosmonaut Grechko, Asher Paul Roth

My Pride (Mattanol Remix)
Here’s some more catching up from the past few months. Mattanol has been adding more remixes to an already extensive list of productions. His latest projects are a light rework on Penguin Prison’s ‘Fair Warning’ (The stems come from here.) and another one for The Easton Ellisses. Once again, be sure to check out the Frenchman’s Soundcloud page for more remxies such as these. Our favorite for the past few months however is his take on ‘My Pride’ by a French band called PV Nova. Everything in the production just sounds smooth and really well-compressed. Plus, that French accent. Synth-pop instantly becomes better if you put a French accent in there.. science fact.

Guide Me (Gigamesh Remix)
And This. How could we miss this. Gigamesh’s remix on James Curd‘s ‘Guide Me’. Before we hand you the remix, have a listen to the original in a fantasticly rediculous He Man video.

Gigamesh is currently one of the thriving forces behind a global scene that gives a whole new meaning to the word disco. So be sure to follow his music on Soundcloud. And this is wat the Minneapolis producer made of Curd’s ‘Starlight’.

Night Moves
Sohight and Cosmonaut Grechko are Yaroslav Kirillov and Victor Klyuchnikov, two producers from a south-west part of Russia. (Although one of them claims to be from Christmas Island. We cannot confirm nor disprove that.) They make synthy discopop that makes you think Top Gun, Back To The Future and Knight Rider. A few hours ago they uploaded their new collaboration track which is titled ‘Night Moves’. It’s an instrumental track, but still the Russian included a little poem with the track:

“Roses are red, tuxedos are pink and Jimmy’s new Cadillac is black.
Tonight is Prom Night, tonight everything is possible.
As he parks nervously outside Brenda’s house, just like a soldier trying to find the bravery to step on the battlefield, his shaking hands grab a bottle of vodka from the glove compartment. Before getting out of the car, Jimmy adds the final touch to his masterplan, his dad’s aftershave.

The rest is History: tonight, Jimmy will become a Man…”

Go Outside
Asher Paul Roth is sampling The Cults on this new track he just premiered on Soundcloud. The track is titled ‘Go Outside’, just like the Cults’ original. Was anyoen else thinking First Wold Problems at the first verse?
