Masters At Work, Dub Fragments, Monsieur Adi, Pacific Air, TheFatRat

First got introduced to Brazilian Dj/producer Dub Fragments a few years ago, when working on the first blog mixtapes. Sounded very good, immediately filed his name under ‘deephouse’ a mental file cabinet that is my cranium. Recently though, he picks up a second moniker. Room 12. (Room 11 reference?) Ever since, some increasingly credible disco productions have been dripping from his Soundcloud page. This latest one is a rendition on Masters At Work’s ‘To Be In Love’. Classic.

Yesterday this new Monsieur Adi popped up. For a while now, the Parisian producer had dedicated himself to making new originals. As opposed to a whole string of remixes that went down in the past. The new track is modest. Night stuff. Sounds like a fair share of work went into mixdown too, very detailed sounds in there.

Video up for reference to the original. TheFatRat transforms Pacific Air ‘Float’ into a floorworthy remix. Reminds of some earlier Sam Sparrow’s ‘Black & Gold’ with the sneezing robot sound from Noisia’s ‘Split The Atom’. possibly produced at a 1/16t grid, rhythm-wise not a very complicated piece. But definitely good enough to keep you interested.
