Madonna vs. Monsieur Adi, Is Tropical, Kanye West, Duncan Gerow, Kids And Chemicals

The good news is: New Monsieur Adi remix! Today he reveals his take on Madonna’s ‘Get Together’, which was originally released in 2006. Now I’m not quite a fan of Madonna’s releases in the past decade. I think ‘Get Together’ was somehow one of the better-but-again-not-really-awesome pop recordings of the past years. Luckily Monsieur Adi just changed the atmosphere, I can listen to this track for quite a while. Now for the bad news: I’m not sure if he’s releasing this or putting up download links later or what not. But no download link for now, sorry.

Is Tropical is about to release their debut album on 12th of june on Kitsuné. To get the crowd warmed up they decided to give away the first track of the album together with the above video. Not exactly a really really new track as it has been posted a few weeks back, but still it’s awesome.

New new Duncan Gerow mashup feauturing the vocals of Kanye West and Syleena Johnson’s ‘All Falls Down’. The acapella is thrown over the instrumental of Wale’s ‘Pretty Girls’. All looks pretty basic, but these basic mashups usually are the best ones in my opinion.

This week I got a message from Kids and Chemicals, a duo from Springfield, Missouri. They offer some of their tracks up as free downloads on Soundcloud, and their most recent recording caught my ear. It’s called ‘Bottle Fly’ and it is a pretty unique project. It a bit of a Punk / Trip-hop blend (I guess) with 8-bit sounds and samples of a man talking about opium. If only I could understand what vocalist Elizabeth, is singing, but somehow I haven’t figured it out yet. And it doesn’t even matter, it actually works for this track. Very nice work!
