Little Daylight, Twice As Nice, South Soul Project, Justin Timberlake, Julio Bashmore, Linday Lowend, Usher, James Blake, Ion The Prize

Little Daylight

Up until now Little Daylight’s ‘Overdose’ is pretty much tune of the month. Today Twice As Nice drops by for a remix on that track, which totally fortifies that previous statement. Brilliant work.

Posted this one previously in some post’s HM. But this production really deserves more spotlight, so here’s a streamable version. Tis part of the Spread Love series by Black Butter Records, ‘Everything’ by South Soul project. Not sure if it’s fair, but it sounds a bit Au Seve-ish. Wouldn’t be surprised if last year’succesful release by Julio Bashmore was used as a template for this one.

Speaking of which, Justin Timberlake just found the perfect remixer in Bashmore for his recent single ‘Suit & Tie’. Most noticeably: Organ. The Bristol producer is giving it away himself as a free download. Insert lame organ donor pun here.

More remixes on singers that your hypothetical girlfriend likes. Lindsay Lowend does some great work on Usher’s ‘Climax’ from a year back.

And further along the remix list, a take on James Blake’s new track ‘Retrograde’. One of the first in what most likely will be a very long list of Retrograde edits/remixes. Only shows the influence Blake has on a current generation of music producers. This remix comes from the hands of Ion the Prize, stay pretty faithful to the original version.

HM. Very nice DnB track by L.A. producer Replicant titled ‘I Can’t Wait’. It also says it’s Frebbie’s birthday. Whoever that is, congratulations to you. Get Some UK is pushing a track by Agriculture, ‘Geode’. Very decent deep stuff built for the small room. And Ambassadeurs are giving away a slower remix on Kraak & Smaak’s ‘The Future Is Yours’.
