Late to the site, the latest rundown is finally up. Our 36 favorite tracks from the past two months: Decemnuary Rundown. Now for today’s music, splitting this post up in genres again.
Songs. Late to our radar, London frontlady + band Lexy And The Kill’s new track ‘Black Dog’ has been online for a few days now. It’s their second track, right after the two months old ‘Rope Swing’. Which is the one I’m posting here, because of missing it earlier.

Brighton, Elli Ingram performs a very good cover on Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Poetic Justice’. Will also mention production, which comes from Londoners Felix Joseph & Rudi Redz.

HM. The Kickdrums have a new free album out: ‘Just A Game‘. There are some pretty songs in that list, try ‘Things Work Out’ or ‘Slipping Away’. Also, Vienna band Chronic City. They just premiered their first track on Soundcloud, ‘Key Biscayne‘ together with Henri Joel.
Bassy Housey Stuff. UK MadTech keeps delivering. A while back they premiered ‘Resend’ by producer/singer duo AZ&TOR. Around 120BPM house track, similar to AlunaGeorge, Disclosure. Unlock through email.

SecondCity decided to give away a free track titled ‘Every Hour’. Pretty straight forward house track, UK/Chicago flavored. Mixdown is great, one for the mixsets.

HM. Kraak & Smaak remix Chromatics ‘Kill For Love‘. Applescal puts out a teaser for his new album ‘Dreaming In Key’ landing on February 5th, track is called ‘Spring and Life‘. From Tokyo, Dj/prd/labelowner Carpainter is pushing a new track titled ‘Starstorm‘. And Husky does a fun chop/screw/slow/throw/idontknow on ‘I Know What You want‘ by Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey.
And then there’s Montmartre with a new remix which, genre-wise, would probably go somewhere inbetween the above two. The Parisian band takes on Adele’s Skyfall anthem. The vocals are not in there the same way as they are in the original, but it does fit with Montmartre’s subtle house track that lies beneath it.
