One of the most remarkable new names of 2011 we haven’t posted about yet is the Oakland born Jhameel. In a nutshell: This young UC Berkely graduate served in the U.S. Army, Speaks over five languages, creates fantastic music and looks like a androgyn model. Jhameel is definitely a hallmark for 2011 music (and 2012). Plus, his music is up on Soundcloud for free downloads.

The Apple Scruffs Edit is one of those notorious re-editing names on Soundcloud. They post slightly edited (old) music on a daily basis. This time they take on Zero 7’s ‘In The Waiting Line’ from their 2001 album ‘Simple Things’.
