Jarreau Vandal, Jarreau Vandal, Jarreau Vandal

Posting an entire EP all at once might not be the best idea. In some way it’s just less impressive, easy to flip on the next track on the EP if the previous few seconds aren’t captivating enough. With that in mind, still posting three out of four tracks from the new Jarreau Vandal EP which is out on Soulection. That’s just how good this is. It’s a free EP that makes heavy use of some better known pop acapella’s. ‘Saw You’ adopts Alicia Keys’ ‘You Don’t Know My Name’.

Then there is ‘Don’t Think About It’ with this year’s ‘Too Much’ lyrics by Sampha and Drake. A completely different track with big wide synths and a really cool switchup in pace. Crosses the border between trap and garage in a very cool way.

And Adina Howard’s ‘Freak Like Me’ is treated with a nice Jarreau Vandal coating as well. Slow track all the way, and the goodness is more equally distributed between Adina Howard’s original (yet pitched) vocals and Vandal’s pretty production work.
