Up All Night (LKiD Edit)
Over the past few months we’ve seen a lot of early nineties house elements emerging in modern music. That also goes for Jack Beats and John B’s ‘Up All Night’, released in March last year. Especially when you listen to the breakdown parts. The track came up on our radar again after LKiD, a UK remixer based in Leeds, did a playful little re-edit on that track.

Funeral
Although the website it titled ‘Weareshura.com’, I’m pretty sure London’s Shura is just one female musician collaborating with different producers. She (or they) names her music ‘Night Folk’, which comes down to traditional folk with a lot of (atmospheric) electronic elements. At least, that’s what she usually does. Her most recent recording uploaded to Soundcloud is titled ‘Funeral’ and features nothing more than vocals and an acoustic guitar. Apparently the recording was made when she was only sixteen years old.

We Stay Up All Night (Star Slinger Remix)
Looks like this is going to be a UK-only post. Star Slinger (Manchester) posted his latest remix yesterday. A mellow progressive dubstep take on the Dutch House influenced production ‘We Stay Up All Night’ by Buraka Som Sistema (featuring Blaya and Roses Gabor).

My Crunk De Gaulle
No need to tell you anything more about Justin Timberlake, Timbaland or the ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ album. You know it. On the other hand, LA-based Edward Ma might be a new name for you. You might know him by his stage name edIT or as one third of glitch-hop outfit The Glitch Mob. Frail Limb Purity took the ‘My Love’ acapella of one and the ‘Crunk De Gaulle’ instrumental of the other for a well-blended mashup. Not really sure about the part with TI’s vocals, but the JT parts are really nice.
