South West London singer Izzy Bizu gave up a acoustic preview of her song ‘White Tiger’ back in March this year. It was released officially in August (together with this nice video) and just a few months later it received this remix by fellow Brit Star Slinger. Adds a welcome punch to an already gorgeous listening experience.
It’s the second home run for Sam Smith, after ‘Latch’ with Disclosure. His and Naughty Boy’s ‘La La La’ went platinum in New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark and Italy. Not surprisingly, remixes are popping up left and right. More surprisingly, gonna post two of those today. This first one comes from L.A. artist WoodysProduce. Pop/Trap hybrid.
The other remix is a collaboration between Oliver Nelson and Tobtok. Disco version from twenty years ago, mastered as if it were the future. The download is hosted by a relatively new Hoxton label called Perfect Havoc, who have been able to sign Oliver Nelson, Tobtok, Televisor, Ryne & Storm.
This is two weeks old, but somehow flew right past the inbox. It’s the Aeroplane remix on Mayer Hawthorne’s ‘Wine Glass Woman’, which originally was downloadable through Mayer Hawthorne’s ‘Where Does The Dj Go’ App. Happy to see the Belgian remixer puts the Wav up for download besides the app. Nice to hear something new from Aeroplane.
And Future Classic is sharing a remix by Brisbane producer Charles Murdoch. He works out a different version of Bodhi’s ‘No More’ this week. To be honest, not as much energy as the original. But there’s some nice synthwork going on right after the main breakdown. Enough reason to put this remix on replay for a bit. Also, glorious wave quality.
