So let’s start with one of those house tunes. Flume’s 2011 single Sleepless receives a house rework thanks to Edinbourgh producer Fuse. Yet another house track pushed forward by piano and bass. Cannot get enough.
Greek producer FlowRythms pulls out the acapella to Rise, orginally sung and mixed down by Soulproviders and Michelle Shellers in 1999. The remix wears the title ‘Keep On Rising’ though, after the 2007 rework by Ian Carey.
Housing Corp has proved to be a fun follow lately. Their latest upload features samples from an eighties track titled ‘Sycophant’ by Krychek. Another enjoyable house track this week.
One of the biggest tracks of the past weeks: ‘Days With You’ by Snakehips. Quality pop track, glorious string samples. Le Nonsense borrows those samples for a solid slow track. Not really comparing this to the original, but an essential track in it’s own way.
Newish Edit on Eat More Cake’s edit of Stardust’s ‘Music Sounds Better With You’. Good, similarities to the earlier edit.
Did not expect posting about Lionel Richie anytime soon. But Penguin Prison is forcing the hand of quite a few bloggers this week with a cover on a classic ‘All Night Long’.
Glen Check is sharing a new remix on Cassie’s ‘Me & You’. Glen Check productions are really beginning to sound like Glen Check productions, easier to recognize. Still, such a lovely way to treat Cassie’s remix favorite.
pure delight, there’s this new remix on Ace Of Base’s ‘Cruel Summer’. It’s this pretty agressive synthpop/disco remix by Dilemmachine, a producer from the North Bay Area, CA. Ace Of Base has to be one of our favorite guilty pleasures.
Annie Mac’s Free Music Monday. Poppy house track with a pretty long wait before the major beat finally sets in. Should be good on replay.
Pretty late to post The Weeknd’s ‘Often’ But it’s so good, happy to close this post with it. Real cratediggers out there, get into that HM list. Over 150 track, but a lot of gold in there!
