First week of June: Chromeo, Lorde, Aly Ryan, Violet Days, Full Crate X Mar, Georgia Denton, Lido, THEY.

Born in Germany but currently living in the US. Singer Aly Ryan moved to LA at the age of sixteen. In january – she’s in her early twenties now – Ryan finally debuted her first solo single titled ‘Headed For Heartbreak’. In the meantime she’s opened for Zane Carney and found a mentor in Grammy-winning producer Babyface. There’s an album coming up from Ryan this year and this new single ‘No Parachute’ will be on it.

Currently unsigned artist from Sweden who has been working with some established names in the electronic dance music scene. Look up Violet Days’ collaborations with Hotel Garuda and John de Sohn plus this very nice Win & Woo remix. Next to that, Violet Dayshas her own share of quality original works on het Soundcloud page. This is the most recent one: ‘I’m A Dreamer’.

This looks like a brand new indie label from Sydney. Fyne Cutz first and only track on Soundcloud currently comes from Georgia Denton. Not just an unknown indie atist, Denton participated in The X Factor Australia, being mentored on the show by Dannii Minogue. Denton is the first artist releasing on Fyne Cutz, while no news of other signings is out yet.

Love how Lido and THEY. got together and just said: ‘fuck it, let’s sound like every nineties boy band ever’. Their hommage to the New Jck Swing genre is titled ‘Not Enough’ and it’s probably the poppiest pop track you’ll hear all week.

Amsterdam duo Full Crate X Mar returns with a slow R&B jam titled ‘Gorgeous’. Smooth as ever, this track just begs for any kind of house remix. Stick around for an even smoother guitar solo at the end.

Chromeo on the talk box again in their latest remix. Lorde’s sophomore album ‘Melodrama’ is coming up later this month (June 16th) and ‘Green Light’ is confirmed to be on there. The remix should als it digital stores once the album is out.
