Over (Batawi Hippity Hoppity Remix)
Cairo is all over the news because the Supreme Council of Armed Forces is neglecting human rights. And Cairo is all over my Soundcloud because Batawi just dropped a neato remix on Drake’s ‘Over’. Just strange how you only see the riots because that’s what camera crews tend to zoom in on. (As they should, everyone should know about it.) In the meanwhile you’d forget that these cameramen have their backs turned towards an entire country that is also doing hard work, studying, making babies and putting up awesome Drake remixes.

Ohio (Daze Remix)
It happened. Just a month after the official release of Justice’s ‘Audio, Video, Disco’ album. This is the first remix I hear that is not trying to be harder better faster stronger than it’s original version. Even better, Daze (FR) crafted this lovely disco version that’s pretty close to the whole Justice /Daft Punk/anything French sound.

Whenever The Sun Comes
Slow start to this song, but you’ll like it. It’s titled ‘Whenever The Sun Comes’, written by Amit Erez from Tel Aviv. Wait, is he singing ‘Whenever the sun comes to rape me’??

El Diablo
Amsterdam’s Applescal dropped a free EP yesterday on RTFKT. The EP is titled ‘El Diablo‘ which is also the name of the first track on it. (And imho, the best one too.) Be sure to follow RTFKT. They’re quite an interesting music blog who feature free little masterpieces like this on a daily basis. Applescal is one of their writers.
