Music Is The Answer
In the house scene this is one of the most used acapella’s as it got slapped over many many instrumental tracks since it’s release in 1998. But it’s still nice to see it getting a good remix (again). Extra nice if the remix appears to be a freebie thanks to LA’s Breakdown. With a name like that you’ve probably figured out this is going to be a breakbeat remix.

Funky ‘Ice Tea’ Disco
The Lipton Ice Tea marketing people must have been watching Christopher Walken in Fatboy Slim’s ‘Weapon Of Choice’ music video when they came up with their own commercial version. This time they got Hugh Jackman dancing through the hotel lobby and they blame it all on a small bottle of Ice Tea. The best thing about this commercial must be the music. It’s a 1971 disco record by John Ozila called ‘Funky Boogie’. The sample got catapulted all over the world thanks to that commercial and it only figures that sooner or later, somebody had to go and make a remix. In this case that somebody is Acces Denied, a Breakbeat producer from Moscow.

Hey Brap!
Speaking of inevitable bootlegs, here’s another one. German JSK made a blend of Bart B More’s ‘Brap’ and ‘Hey!’ by Laidback Luke and Diplo. Let’s be honest; it’s not a far-fetched combination but it works like hell.

And finally here’s Computer Blue, two guys from Oklahoma City who make kick-ass electronic music. They got their paws on The Rapture’s ‘Echoes’ and made it one hundred percent dancefloor proof. Gotta bite through the long intro first tough..
