Black Daddy, Headhunterz, Oskar Schuster, FREnchfire, Brand vs. Monica, Unkwon

Being wrong is a large part of the fun. And there’s such an obvious wrongness in Hard Trance Basstrap remixes. This one has it too. Overly distorted kickdrums. The numbingly straight foward bassline that’s about as graceful as a pack of drunk Russian mine shaft workers. That sexy deep voice of a fairly aged male child molester. But, 808. Love it. Here’s Black Daddy’s remix on ‘Scrap Attack’ by Headhunterz.

We can compensate. Here’s young Berlin-based composer Oskar Schuster. Bad Panda is sharing his ‘Sneeuwland’, means snow land. Amélie flavored piano composition blended with a hint of Emilie Simon’s work in that penguin documentary.

Unexpected take on Tomcraft’s ‘Loneliness’. FREnchfire does it with bells. Deep, and well done. The acapella is actually pretty widely available. Just rare that an acapella is taken in a completely different direction.

Speaking of deep takes. This was going to happen. The Boy is Mine. Brandy and Monica’s classic catfight in a atmospheric remix by Unkwon. Has marimba. And vocals are all pitched higher, lower or both. And the remixer is from Denmark. I have a sudden urge to buy a longboard and a pack of cigarettes again.

Little bonus: The October mixtape is up!
