Unsurprisingly yes, ‘Lauryn’s Song’ is that one song by legendary Lauryn Hill. And the acapella does fine on a 120-something beats per minute.
This time it’s a remix by Random Soul, an Australian duo that lays down a subtle house instrumental under Lauryn Hill’s vocals. And it’s tracks like these that just beg to be played in longer house sets. The acapella is used in full – we need more dub remixes! – but the instrumental track is patient and maintains energy by gradually adding small elements to the track instead of big EDM buildups.
