Comparing this to Lights’ original instrumental track, Dutch producer WRLD’s remix on ‘Slow Down’ isn’t quite as polished or refined as the original. But with that in mind, the Producer does manage to lay down an instrumental track that is simply more memorable than it’s original predecessor.
WRLD is a young producer from Zevenaar in the east of The Netherlands currently finishing high-school. His most successful work includes quite a few releases on Monstercat as well as remixes on Aruna, Akouo and this recent remix on Lights. It’s an official remix and a follow up his single ‘Galaxies’ ft. Father Dude, which was released through Next HQ and premiered by Billboard.
From the looks of it, most of WRLD’s plays are coming from US territory as his presence as an artist (in The Netherlands at least) isn’t quite as big as some comparable names. Still, that could change quite soon. Holland might have brought forth quite a few internationally successful dj’s, it hasn’t always been that good in recognizing talent within it’s own borders.
