Today Pope drops a new track titled ‘Dance The Night Away’. It’s said to be inspired by Marvin Gaye, Prince and Tower of Power. But at the 0.52 mark: did the singer/songwriter/producer just throw in a cheeky hommage to these guys?
The track is the third record in Pope’s ‘jointhefaith’ series which previously featured ‘Music Is Emotion’ and his hugely successful ‘Let’s Be Together’ featuring Esha. The new track sounds a little like Breakbot, Moulinex, RAC or maybe a little like Aeroplane. The intro immediately sounds promising, at about one minute into the song Pope delivers on that promise with a tasty disco drop.
Every single in Pope’s tetralogy is said to be completely written, sung, produced and mixed by the man himself. And Pope’s previous work in the series has already had some features by outlets such as Rbeatz, Exposed Vocals and Indiemondo. Can’t wait till the next one.
