Brilliant take on a classic by Pomo. The Vancouver based producer blows the dust off of Daryl Hall & John Oates’ 1981 hit single ‘I Can’t Go For That’on Ultra Music.
The Hall & Oates original was first released in december of 1981 and went on to the peak position in different Billboard charts. It also went up high in the charts in Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Austalia, The Netherlands and Sweden – influencing other current day classics such as Michal Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’, Simply Red’s ‘Sunrise’ and The XX’s more recent single ‘On Hold’.
Pomo’s new version of the classic single has already earned support from tastemakers such as Dancing Austronaut, Earmilk, Indie Shuffle and many more. The HW&W-signed producer’s refreshing new remix comes ahead of a new extensive tour in Australia and New Zealand – with confirmed dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Wanaka and Gisborne. Next to the tour, Pomo is said to have a new album coming up for 2018.
