Give some, get some.

To blog or not to blog, that is the question. At least for today. Here are some great new guitar recordings. They have potential, no doubt about that. But it seems the artists don’t want to share, so there is no download link for the lovers.

For some people this might be the disadvantage of Soundcloud. It puts some control back into the hands of artists and labels. They are not obliged anymore to share mp3s with blogs for promotional reasons. Bloggers can just put up an embedded player instead.

As it goes for The Jackplug, we prefer to direct our readers to artists who are actually sharing some music. We think that Readers who are able to put some music on their portable devices such as their iPods and iPhones, get to listen to the music a whole lot more. The music grows onto it’s listener, who is less likely to forget about the artist. (Something that might solve itself, as in the future we’ll probably be streaming live from soundcloud onto our little mobile computers.)

There are different ways to live on music, and ofcourse the choice is always up to the author. For today we just couldn’t let these tunes slip away:
Darwin Deez – Radar Detector

Jay Stansfield (12 in Twelve) – Tiny Things

Hello Piedpiper – Please Come Closer
